I have been a licensed Realtor for 30 years, primarily on the Virginia Peninsula. After graduating from Christopher Newport University with a Bachelor of Science in business with a concentration in economics, I successfully began my real estate career. I specialize in helping both buyers and sellers – buyers, to achieve their goal of home ownership, and sellers, to make a sale in a timely manner for top dollar. 

I branched out into renovating homes and thereby gained a keen eye for cost-effective upgrades that quickly sell a home at the best price. At the same time, I began staging properties, a service I continue to offer clients today. Buyers appreciate seeing a homey atmosphere rather than a blank slate, and sellers are aware that staging helps lead to a quick sale. I started my own business – UpStaging Realty – as a way to have the freedom to offer my clients the full range of my services.

We have now grown into Coleman Brown Realty to provide advice on all aspects of real estate transactions. Prompt communication, integrity, accuracy, courtesy, and honesty are my promise to you.  A cornerstone of my business has always been “Treating Clients Like Family.” 

As a licensed Realtor for 12 years, I love working with clients to assist them in all aspects of buying or selling homes and strive to make the process as pleasant and stress-free as possible. My experience includes assisting investors in buying and renovating homes for resale, as I have personally renovated numerous homes. Born and raised in Yorktown, I am involved in multiple aspects of the Hampton Roads community and look forward to assisting clients with any and all of their real estate needs.

A Realtor since 2004, I assist clients in buying, selling, investing, and rehabilitating properties. The experience I've gained while renovating and rehabilitating has given me a unique insight into the importance of controlling costs, adhering to time schedules, ensuring that quality work is being done, and an attention to detail that has proven invaluable to all my clients. I have a passion for real estate and for helping my clients achieve their goals. 

A lifelong resident of the Peninsula, I am president of the local chapter of BNI Referral Leaders. Clear and open communication and a commitment to providing excellent service to clients in the wider Hampton Roads area led to receiving the Virginia Peninsula Association of Realtors award two years in a row.

My husband, Jim, and I are the parents of daughters April and Brooke. A special love is my grandson Abel. I am ready to assist in multiple areas of real estate and committed to those I serve. 

Kalia joined the company in December 2021, when the business name was UpStaging Realty. She was instrumental in rebranding the name to Coleman Brown Realty, which better reflects the full range of our services. Born and raised in Poquoson, Kalia is a Certified Residential Interior Designer. When not working, she enjoys honing her decorating skills and spending time with her cat Salem.
